Our Mission

The Terrace Theatre is committed to bringing the best of Independent and Foreign Cinema to the Lowcountry. We are the only theatre dedicated to showing art house films in the Charleston area, and we are proud to fill this vital role for the community. Without our presence, many groundbreaking and award-winning films would never be seen in Charleston.

In addition to our film offerings, we strive to make out theatre a friendly, comfortable place for all of our patrons. Our concessions menu has been designed to provide suitable selections for everyone, from standard movie fare like popcorn and soda to imported and domestic beer and wine, plus healthy options like raisins and bottled waters.

Directions to The Terrace

From Downtown:

Take the Crosstown South to the Ashley River Bridge. After crossing the bridge, keep left, as if you were going to Folly Beach. Once you are on Folly Road, you will pass the South Windermere shopping center and continue until you cross a drawbridge. Just after the drawbridge, you will make a right onto Maybank Highway. The theater is just ahead on the right.

From East Cooper:

Take Highway 17 South to the Old Cooper River Bridge. As you exit the bridge, continue on 17 (now the Crosstown) and follow the directions from Downtown.

From I-26:

Take I-26 East to Charleston. You will get off at the exit for Highway 17 South (which is the Crosstown) and follow the directions from Downtown.

Ticket Information

General Admission tickets are $7.50. Student Tickets, Senior Citizens' Tickets and tickets for matinee shows (before 6:00 p.m.) are $5.50.
